STN: The Union Cabinet has approved the next stage of the Pune Metro network. This decision allows work to begin on the Pune Metro Phase-2 Expansion. The plan covers two new corridors. These are Line 4 and Spur Line 4A.

Line 4 will run for 25.52 km. It will connect Kharadi to Khadakwasla. The route will pass through Hadapsar and Swargate. The line will have 22 elevated stations. Spur Line 4A will add another 6.12 km. It will run between Nal Stop and Warje–Manik Baug. It will have six elevated stations. Together, both corridors will cover 31.64 km and include 28 stations.
