7 New Cities to Get Metro Systems by 2025

Navi Mumbai

01 CIDCO is developing Navi Mumbai's metro system with five lines across 106.4 km. The first phase of project is completed on 2023.

Surat

02 The GMRC is building Surat’s MRTS with two lines and 37 stations. The first section iwas open in August 2024.

Indore

03 MP Metro Rail Corporation is constructing Indore’s metro in five phases, with the first phase expected by March 2025.

Bhopal

04 Bhopal’s metro will have two lines and 28 stations. The priority corridor is planned to open in March 2024.

Agra

05 Agra Metro will have two lines spanning 29.65 km. The priority section is operational from June 2024.

Meerut (RRTS)

06 The Delhi-Meerut RRTS will provide high-speed commuter services, offering fast, sustainable transport in the NCR region.

Patna

07 Patna Metro’s two lines with 24 stops aim to ease urban transit. The first section will be ready by August 2024.
