Bondana Engineering has secured a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for Kavach System from South Central Railways. The contract is valued at Rs. 228.17 crore and focuses on developing ground infrastructure for Kavach and 4G LTE-R. This marks the company’s first venture into the railway sector.

IRCON International Limited has also received a LoA for Kavach System from Central Railways. This contract, valued at Rs. 194.45 crore, includes survey, design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 665 towers to support the Kavach System infrastructure.

What is the Kavach System?

The Kavach System is an Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system developed by RDSO. It was designed in collaboration with Medha Servo Drives, Kernex Microsystems, and HBL Power Systems. The system prevents train collisions by automatically applying brakes in emergency situations, enhancing railway safety.
