STN: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, led by Narendra Modi, has approved three major railway expansion works. These projects aim to strengthen rail capacity across multiple states. The total cost stands at ₹23,437 crore. The government plans to complete them by 2030–31.
These Indian Railways Multitracking Projects will add about 901 km to the existing rail network. They will cover 19 districts across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
