STN: The Bangalore Metro Yellow Line is moving towards completion. The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) will inspect the route between July 22 and 25. This line is part of Phase 2 of the Bangalore Metro project.

The Yellow Line covers a distance of 19.143 km. It connects RV Road to Bommasandra and has 16 stations along the route.

The CMRS office has shared details about the inspection schedule. The inspection will happen in multiple phases. The first round will cover the section from RV Road to Delta Electronics in Bommasandra. This will take place from July 22 to July 24.

On July 25, CMRS will check the Operations Control Centre. This is a key part of the metro’s management system. Once these inspections are complete, the next steps will follow.

Commercial Launch Awaits CMRS Approval

After CMRS gives approval, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will prepare for the official launch. BMRCL will consult with the Union and State governments before beginning full operations.

Initially, the Bangalore Metro Yellow Line will run trains every 24 minutes. All 16 stations are getting ready for service. But at the start, trains will stop at only seven stations as part of a limited rollout.

The commercial run of trains on the Yellow Line will begin soon after the CMRS gives clearance. This step marks an important milestone for the Bangalore Metro network.
