STN: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has appointed Dr. Amit Kumar Jain as its new Director (Operations & Services). The appointment has come after the retirement of Mr. Sharat Sharma, who had been serving in the position for the last six years.
Dr. Amit Kumar Jain is a well-known name in the transportation sector, having served in various positions in the Indian Railways for over three decades. He has extensive experience in the field of operations, planning, and management of rail transport services.
With this appointment, Dr. Jain becomes the head of the operations and services of DMRC, responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of the metro network. He will also be entrusted with the task of implementing new strategies and initiatives to ensure the system’s efficiency and safety.
