The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) has completed the safety inspection for Indore Metro Phase 2 priority corridor. This is an important step before starting more metro services in the city.
The inspection took place from March 15 to March 18. It was led by Shri Nilabhra Sengupta. The team checked a 17.5 km stretch of the metro corridor.
Officials from Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) said that the system was tested across many areas. These checks are required before any metro line can open for public use.
Phase 2 Safety Inspection Details
The CMRS team had six members. They carried out a detailed review of the metro system.
They checked:

Now, with the safety inspection complete, more sections under Phase 2 may open soon.
MPMRCL Managing Director S. Krishna Chaitanya said that the project is now waiting for final approval.
He said that once CMRS gives clearance, operations on the new section can begin.
